Established in 2021, the Brookline Fund to Increase Diversity in Architecture and Design aims to raise awareness of the need to increase diversity in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture and design in general and to garner the support of the community at large to make diversity a reality. In Brookline, young people – especially first generation college students – do not have equitable access to information about design professions and do not have equal opportunities to gain real world experience in the field. Brookline is uniquely positioned to create a model for real, impactful change, and this fund hopes to be a source for change.
