Laura Allen is a retired investment professional, having spent over thirty years as a senior portfolio manager for institutional and high net worth clients. She has extensive experience working with endowments and foundations at TIAA-CREF, Essex Investments and Boston Private Bank and Trust, assisting them with setting investment policy and determining appropriate asset allocation strategies. Laura started her career at Wellington Management Company, where she was responsible for equity investments for primarily non-profit organizations. She was involved in the formation of the Wellington Charitable Foundation and was a member of the grant review committee. Laura is a graduate of Connecticut College, where she served eight years as a trustee. During her tenure, Laura was Chair of the Audit Committee, a member of the Finance Committee and Vice-Chair of the Committee on Academics. Laura and her husband Ken Lewis, who is an elected Town Meeting Member, have lived in Brookline since 1990.
