BCF is delighted to announce a new fund, the Brookline Community Outdoor Pool Fund. Initiated by Brookline community members Alisa Jonas, Tracie Burns, Alec Lebovitz, and Anne Turner, this fund will support the establishment of a public outdoor pool in Brookline.
A public outdoor pool in Brookline aligns with BCF’s mission to promote equitable access to resources and opportunities that foster healthy living. Swimming is an essential life skill, and as our climate continues to warm, access to cooling resources will become even more vital.
Additionally, a public pool serves as a space where people of all ages and abilities can come together, strengthening community bonds and providing a welcoming gathering place during the hot summer months.
“I am a past Board member of BCF,” says Anne Turner, “and I knew of BCF’s expertise in fund management and administration, as well as their working partnership with the Town of Brookline. Our team knew that BCF could be a great partner in establishing this invaluable community resource.”
If you would like to support a community outdoor pool in Brookline, the Brookline Community Outdoor Pool Fund is accepting donations.
