Julie Braverman Bruno works as an attorney at Verrill Dana LLP in Boston. She focuses on sophisticated trust and estate planning and also advises clients on family law, adoptions, conservatorships, guardianships, and name changes. Prior to working in estate planning and family law, Julie worked for over a decade as a corporate tax attorney at Dewey Ballantine LLP, a large firm in New York City, where she was named Counsel. She represented investors in complex tax-driven domestic and international transactions. Before law school, Julie worked for four years on Capitol Hill as a legislative aide to Congressman Dan Rostenkowski (D-IL), the then Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. Julie received her Juris Doctor from the University of Buffalo Law School where she served on the Buffalo Law Review and her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Rochester. Julie and her husband, Clarke Bruno, have lived in Brookline since 2012 and their two children went to school in Brookline. Julie is an avid gardener, baker and paddle tennis player. She was active in the PTO at Pierce School and was a member of the PTO Board at Brookline High School for several years. Now that she is an empty-nester, she is eager to devote her time in new ways to the Brookline community.
