Kim Barnum has been a Brookline Public School teacher for her entire professional career. After graduating from Wheelock College, having transferred there from Spelman College, she began teaching at Lincoln School. Subsequently she taught at Pierce, and Devotion Schools, both as a classroom teacher and math specialist. Kim is currently a third grade teacher at Pierce. She serves as a member of the Pierce School Equity Team, is a Mentor Teacher, and has been the Building-Based Mentor Facilitator. Kim is also a supervising practitioner of student teachers from many of the local colleges in the area.  Kim and her husband have been Brookline residents for ten years. She has two adult sons and “a very cute dog.” Kim enjoys reading, travel, and cooking.
