Jim Slayton is the National Medical Director for Outpatient Services for OptumHealth.  He has devoted over 20 years to the field of clinical psychiatry and has held numerous leadership positions in behavioral healthcare organizations. Jim has served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and Boston University. He received his A.B. from Brown University, M.D. from Stanford University and M.B.A. from Harvard University. Jim has authored numerous articles and reviews. He has served as a Town Election warden and has participated as a cellist and choral singer in various ensembles in the greater Boston area. Jim is a Brookline resident and a Town Meeting Member.
