Ann Coles is Senior Fellow, at uAspire, a national non-profit organization located in Boston that focuses on helping lower-income students find an affordable path to and through college. She also works as a consultant on college access and success for regional and national organizations.  Previously, Coles was Senior Vice President of The Education Resources Institute (TERI), where she provided leadership for the Pathways to College Network, GEAR UP and TRIO programs, and other college access initiatives.  In addition, she served as Executive Director of the Boston Higher Education Partnership. Coles has served on various national boards and committees, including vice-chair of The College Board and a founding member of the Council for Opportunity in Education and the New England Educational Opportunity Association, of which she was president in 1982-83.  She has published numerous articles and papers on issues related to the college readiness and success of underserved populations.  She holds a doctorate from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
