Alan Morse has had four diverse careers. He was a commercial banker for twenty-seven years and served as Chairman of the United States Trust Company, (now Citizens Bank); as a public servant for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for four years as Commissioner of Banks, then Undersecretary of Administration and Finance, and finally as Supervisor of Financial Services; Chairman of Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare. Alan was also an advisor to Civic Capital Group, a specialized hedge fund. In addition, Alan was a high school math teacher in the Boston Public School system for five years. He is now a member of the Temple Israel of Boston’s Cemetery Committee. Alan is married to Cecily O. Morse, and they have two children, Dr. Abraham N. Morse and Rebecca M. Steinfield. Alan and Cecily have four grandchildren.
